Prepare

Shape with the crystal file, buff the surface lightly and roll a drop of cuticle oil around each nail to finish the prep.

Apply two thin coats of Gel Couleur over your base coat, curing each one under a UV or LED lamp.

What does HEMA-free mean?

HEMA (hydroxyethyl methacrylate) is a common ingredient in gel polish that some people become sensitive to over time. Every LunaNail gel color and top coat is formulated without it.

What is TPO, and why is your gel TPO-free?

TPO is a photoinitiator that helps many gels cure. The European Union restricted it in cosmetics from September 2025. Our formulas, made in Europe, are TPO-free.

Do I need a UV or LED lamp?

Yes. Gel Couleur and the No-Wipe Top Coat cure under a UV or LED nail lamp. Apply thin coats and cure each one.

Is a glass nail file better than a metal file or emery board?

For natural nails, usually yes. Etched glass files with a fine, even grit that leaves the edge smooth and sealed, which helps reduce splitting and peeling. It is also non-porous, so it rinses clean and does not wear out like an emery board.

Where are LunaNail products made?

Our collections are designed in Germany. Gel polish, top coat and cuticle oil are made in Europe, and our crystal glass files are made in the Czech Republic.
